This quick drop-in workshop is perfect for kids, adults, plant lovers, and anyone who wants to get a little creative during the block party. No experience needed — all supplies will be provided.

This is a drop-in-style workshop, which means you can pop in whenever it works for you (no strict timing, no pressure). You’ll be guided by Grace or one of our amazing team members as you create your very own magical fairy garden centrepiece — think tiny plants, whimsical details, and something completely unique that you get to take home with you.

Whether you’re a plant lover, bringing the kids, planning a cute outing with a friend, or just want to try something new… this is one of those feel good, hands-on experiences that everyone ends up loving more than they expected.

Join Love That Plant at our Creative Space for The Art of Kusamono, a rare, hands-on workshop exploring the beauty of this Japanese botanical art form.

Featuring guest Young Choe, internationally renowned kusamono artist, this workshop will introduce participants to the history, design principles, and care behind kusamono — living arrangements made with flowers, grasses, shrubs, moss, and seasonal plants in unique pots. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, created with intention and designed to celebrate the wild beauty of plants.

Guests will create their own kusamono arrangement using a provided workshop kit, complete with seasonal plants, a kusamono pot, soil, top dressing, and a care card to help them maintain their piece at home.

Join us in our Creative Space for our Jurassic Terrain Workshop, a hands-on workshop where you’ll build your own miniature dinosaur-inspired planter. Using tropical plants, moss, pebbles, stones, bark, and a few tiny characters, you’ll create a wild little landscape that feels like it came straight out of a prehistoric world.

Each planter comes complete with one dinosaur and a couple of tiny army figures, because every jungle needs a little adventure.

Finished piece is approximately 12” x 4” x 3”.

Join Fresh Space by Grace at El Mero Mero's Parking Lot Fiesta for a drop-in plant painting workshop full of colour, creativity, and a little Frida-inspired flair.

Guests will paint their own Frida-inspired planter, then choose a plant to pot and take home with them. Whether you go bold and bright, soft and simple, or completely your own direction, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind plant pal that feels full of personality.

This workshop is drop-in style, making it the perfect creative stop while you enjoy the live music, food trucks, vendors, entertainment, and family-friendly fun happening throughout the fiesta.

Join Love That Plant at our Creative Space for The Art of Bonsai, a guided workshop where you’ll learn the history, design principles, and care basics behind this beautiful living art form.

Using your provided workshop kit, you’ll create your own bonsai with a tree, unique free-form pot, soil, moss, rocks, and finishing details. You’ll leave with a completed bonsai and a care card to help you maintain it at home.

Immerse yourself in this 2-hour guided watercolour painting class, hosted by local watercolour artist, Patricia Farrar. Surrounded by luscious greenery, find community and try something new while creating your very own masterpiece.

Your ticket includes all the supplies you need, as well as a frame to take your beautiful painting home.
